The Session

HOW TO PLAN
Please schedule your session as far in advance as possible to choose from the widest selection of available days and times. I strive to make everything as easy as I can when scheduling your session. Payment can be made through Paypal, and all contracts and forms can be completed online. It’s all about being stress-free! Once your session is booked, be thinking about your outfits, props, poses, and locations that you would like for your session.

WHERE WILL YOU TAKE OUR PICTURE?
With the exception of newborns, all sessions take place outside, in natural light. We will figure out a location that best suits the type of images you’re wanting. There are a lot of public places in Huntsville that make for great backdrops, but I’m always open to new locations. Let me know if there’s a great area in your neighborhood, you know someone who lives downtown with a charming house and front porch, or a cotton field that you pass every day on your way to work. Using an original location will make your pictures that much more memorable.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Deciding what to wear can be tough, but just think about the “feeling” you want these pictures to have. Envision what you eventually want hanging on your walls, displayed in your frames, and shared with your loved ones. Think about the location we’ve decided on and what might work best with that location. For example, an Easter dress might not be the best outfit for a session at the lake. I can also provide more personal assistance by sending you links to outfits online that I think will work well for your session… all you have to do is visit the store in person or order directly from the website.

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD BRING TO THE SESSION?
I like to make sessions personal, and that usually means incorporating your personal items. Does your son have a special toy, one that you would want to remember him playing with at that age? Then bring it! Are you expecting and have an ultrasound photo you want to use? Then bring it. I love experimenting at sessions, so if there’s something you want to work into the pictures, then I’ll do my best to make it happen.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION?
I will carefully select your final images from all the pictures we took the day of your session, and then custom edit each one. When finished, I will order your custom disc and image box, burn the disc and pop in the mail for delivery right to your door. It couldn’t be easier! I will also have a post on my website with the pictures from your session so you can easily share them with friends and family.
